Douglas Sand, PE, is based out of the Twin Cities. Mr. Sand conducts investigations primarily in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa but is also licensed and available for assignments throughout North Dakota, South Dakota, Michigan, Nebraska, Montana, Illinois, Kansas and Missouri.

Mr. Sand is Certified In Plumbing Design (CPD) by American Society of Plumbing Engineers, Certified as a Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) by National Fire Protection Association and is Certified as a Gas Engineer (CGE) by the American Society of Gas Engineers.

Prior to his work as a forensic engineer Mr. Sand held a variety of positions as a Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineer in the areas of design, purchase, installation, and troubleshooting of facilities, infrastructure, equipment, and automation. These positions were held in distribution, automobile manufacturing, medical device manufacturing, computer manufacturing and paper manufacturing.

Mr. Sand is a graduate of the University of Minnesota- Minneapolis with Bachelor and Master degrees in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering.
